Are you passionate or interested about beekeeping and woodworking? Combine them both in our comprehensive 10-week Beehive Making Course!

Course Highlights:

  • Material: Craft your beehive using high-quality Cedar wood.
  • Design: Build 2 x 8-frame hives (complete with roof and base); perfect for honeycomb and honey production.
  • Hands-On Experience: Get hands-on with industry-standard woodworking machines.
  • Take Home: Complete a 2-tier ‘Warre hive’ based on the 12th edition of ‘Beekeeping for All’ (1948).

You will need to bring:

  • Steel toe-capped boots (to be worn at all times while on course)
  • H or 2H pencils
  • Pencil sharpener
  • Eraser/rubber
  • Pens/pencils
  • Notebook/paper

Please note that the College reserves the right to modify or cancel courses prior to their start date

Refund policy:

  1. 100% refund if the learner has provided 4 weeks notice.
  1. 50% refund if the learner has provided 2 weeks notice.
  1. No refund if less than 2 weeks notice.
  1. If a learner wants to postpone to a later course date then this can be done with no impact on fees paid as long as we have 1 week’s notice of their intentions.

  • For currently enrolled BCC students (on a study programme or apprenticeship) a 25% discount will be applied on the fees for a short course taken in the same academic year that they are enrolled
  • For any currently enrolled short course student who wants to enrol on a full or part time study programme (19+) in the subsequent academic year we offer a 50% fee rebate on the cost of their short course.
  • For any BCC alumni of study programme or apprenticeship they can get a 20% discount on the short course fee.

Discounts can be redeemed when applying directly via the college, any short course ticket purchased on Eventbrite must use a discount code which can be requested at Admissions@thebcc.ac.uk
