Short Course – Introduction To Carpentry Basics

A five-week taster evening class for those who want to learn the basics in woodworking, focusing on home improvement and DIY skills. No experience necessary.

Session 1 – Introduction to basic carpentry hand tools
Session 2 – Shelving
Session 3 – Laminate Flooring
Session 4 – Skirting
Session 5 – Architraves
 

10 students only

The course is ideal for beginners wanting to learn the basics of woodworking in order to progress onto a further course, or DIYers who want to learn some practical skills for small projects around the home.

  • No prior experience necessary

You will need to bring:

  • Steel toe-capped boots (to be worn at all times while on course)

Please note that the College reserves the right to modify or cancel courses prior to their start date

  • For currently enrolled BCC students (on a study programme or apprenticeship) a 25% discount will be applied on the fees for a short course taken in the same academic year that they are enrolled
  • For any currently enrolled short course student who wants to enrol on a full or part time study programme (19+) in the subsequent academic year we offer a 50% fee rebate on the cost of their short course.
  • For any BCC alumni of study programme or apprenticeship they can get a 20% discount on the short course fee.

Discounts can be redeemed when applying directly via the college, any short course ticket purchased on Eventbrite must use a discount code which can be requested at Admissions@thebcc.ac.uk
