Here you can submit an application form for all of our mainstream diploma courses, for short courses please see our Evenbrite link which can be found on ‘Our Courses’ page

Priority applications opened October 20th 2025 and will be closing December 5th 2025*. Those that apply during our priority applications stage are guaranteed an invite to our first round of interviews being held in the new year

Those applying within this timeframe should expect a response by mid December

*subject to number of applications received, this date may be moved forward if the maximum number of applications has been reached

Please indicate your study route (study programme leading to qualification or short course/evening class) and age group as this will help us determine your funding options. Please note, we only accept apprentices who already have an apprenticeship agreement with their employer.
Please be aware that our Bench Joinery L3 course requires a L2 qualification first. If you do not have this qualification you will only be able to start at L2.

Knowing our learners needs before starting their studies can help us prepare the support and resources necessary to provide the best quality education. Delays or absence of important information and documents can be detrimental to learners that require support and can prevent them reaching their full potential. We rely on applicants informing us of any additional needs before they start as previous schools/colleges and local authorities do not pass this information on.

Do you have the right to study in the UK?
We accept students who are British or Irish nationals, nationals with permanent Leave to Remain and EU nationals with Settled Status. Please note that International Students are not eligible to apply for our mainstream courses. The BCC is not a sponsor under the Student Visa rules. If you are not a British or Irish national but do have the right to study in the UK, please be aware we may ask you for your share code during your application process.

Applicants for 2025/26 enrolling on a 19+ full or part time course are eligible for a 50% fee rebate off the cost of their short course

Do you have any criminal convictions?
The College has a duty to all learners and staff, including those under 18 and vulnerable adults. In view of this all learners are required to state if they have unspent criminal convictions. If you answer yes, you will be asked to provide further details. Failure to disclose a conviction may result in action under college disciplinary procedures. All information given will be treated as sensitive data under data protection legislation.
