Apprenticeship – Bricklaying L2 Standard, September 2023

  • All applicants must be employed full time in the trade before applying for this apprenticeship
  • This is a two and a half year (30 month) programme for bricklaying apprentices
To build structural brickkwork.
-Domestic building.
-Commercial building.
-Heritage building.
-Cavity wall.
-Battered wall.
-Circular work i.e. arches ect.
-Solid walling.
Lime and mortar mixes.
concreting.
Drainage.
Offshoots of all elements covered in one week blocks, at least four times per term

Level 2 Bricklaying

Ideally Grade 4 in both Maths and English. If you do not have these then we can help you achieve with training whilst at College. You must achieve Functional Skills L2 to pass your apprenticeship

30 months on block release of usually one week

  • 16-18 year old = NIL.
  • For apprentices, employers who pay the Government Apprenticeship Levy the fees will be paid from your accumulated Levy Fund. For employers who are not levy payers (in other words have an annual payroll of less than £3m) you will pay 5% of the cost of the apprenticeship. The Building Crafts College charges the Government capped rate for apprenticeship delivery
