Wage: London living wage £13.15 p/hour

Hours: 40 Hours per week

Holiday: 28 days per year

Location: You will be principally working at the company’s workshop in Bethnal Green E2, with some site visits across London.


Established in 2021 Benjamin’s Workshop Ltd is a cabinetry joinery company based in Bethnal Green E2. The company provides bespoke fitted furniture to residential and commercial projects across London. Primarily we supply kitchens, wardrobes, commercial cabinetry as well as other bespoke joinery items. Our client base consists of professionals; established designers, main contractors – as well as high end users. We are a team of 10 with Managing Director, Administrator, CAD designer, Head Joiner, Workshop Team of 5, and also remote accounts.



The Junior Joiner’s focus will be to assist the head joiner and project joiners by delivering basic joinery tasks towards the company’s joinery projects. You will initially be required to complete the following;


  • Sanding
  • Routering
  • Edging
  • Building carcases
  • Mark hinges + holes
  • Priming
  • Oiling
  • Cleaning and tidying

As you develop in the role, you will have the opportunity to expand the scope of tasks you undertake. You will receive training on the machinery including panel saw, when it is considered safe to do so.

On site

  • Delivering work
  • Loading in and out
  • Small snags
  • Assisting installers

You will be directly supervised by the head joiner and will learn directly from them on the job. You will be trained (where required) on all the tools we use. You will become familiar with the company’s systems and processes through assisting and will enjoy increasing responsibility as you develop in the role.


  • Experience in a similar role and/ or relevant vocational qualification
  • Experience of using hand power tools such as drills, palm routers, rail saws
  • Understanding of domestic furniture construction, including methods of joinery
  • Eager to learn with a desire to make the most of all potential learning experiences
  • Alert, engaged and keen to learn with a positive ‘can do’ mentality
  • An awareness of and commitment to, a high standard of finish
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills – you’ll be collaborating closely with colleagues and speaking with clients when in their homes.

Desirable requirements

  • UK driving license
